The Potato Field starts off as a serious drama with Molly, Nathan and Kyle being sentenced to community service in the middle of no where, a field. Molly discovers a dead body and shows the others. They split up to get help but Molly discovers Nathan now stood over Kyles dead body. She accuses Nathan of murder but he makes an outrageous claim that he saw a giant potato with arms and legs kill Kyle. This is where the film shifts from a drama to a comedy as we then see a giant potato with arms and legs kill Molly and Nathan. We suddenly hear a voice yell cut and we pan round to reveal a small film set and crew. We meet student filmmakers Josh, the films director and Emily, the films cinematographer. Josh is a bully to everyone on set and has a massive ego. he is serious about the film and does think its funny at all. He thinks he is some sort of advanced genius. The rest of the film follows Josh four months earlier as he comes up with the idea, pitches the idea, casts actors for the idea and then finally we see him behind the scenes of the shoot where he continues to be a bully and has a massive ego.
