'Coming up Trumps' (Working Title) is a short comedy that centres around two young men who meet whilst on a camping trip with friends and family. They immediately hit it off and over time they form a relationship which revolves around "eproctophilia", a term used to describe someone who has a fetish for flatulence. This is a fetish that both characters share and for obvious reasons have had to keep it a secret from friends and family. However, there love for the good old bottom trump is at the core of there relationship and often results in smelly consequences.The piece is a work in progress and the process will involve a series of online 'workshops' where we build on the story and create the script as a company from scratch. It will require two actors who have strong improvisation skills and are prepared to take themselves outside of their comfort zones. To add to the comedy aspect and to make it more realistic, instead of using sound effects, the idea is to use real flatulence. This why I need actors who are happy to step outside of their comfort zone.The plan is to turn this into a short film using current or recently graduated film students.
