In this role, you will help re-imagine how Amazon communicates with its targeted candidates, developing compelling content that is fresh, engaging, and visually appealing. You will drive communication strategies and bold marketing content that is supportive of regional campaigns, designed to inform and engage candidates across prioritized projects, topics and narratives. This individual should be deeply experienced in developing strategic brand content, savvy with digital and social media platforms and working across teams to mine for compelling stories and content ideas. This individual should be equally comfortable leading a team that is responsible for developing both short and long form content (articles, ad copy, web content, presentation content, infographics, videos, etc.). A strong candidate will have experience working in a corporate or ad agency setting and should have the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization, with a track record of generating high-value creative results.The Consumer Talent Branding & Communications (CTBC) team is a global team composed of content managers and campaign managers with scope that includes NA, EU and MENA. We use research and data to create and iterate on marketing concepts, strategies, and campaigns to drive candidates to roles on amazon.jobs. We seek to tell authentic, employee-centered stories about why Amazon is a great place to work and to differentiate Amazon from other companies.Key job responsibilitiesAs the CTBC Content Strategy Manger, you will lead a team of experienced designers, writers, digital channel owners and video producers. You will have oversight of our creative agency of record (AOR) and other partners that deliver creative work on behalf of the team. You will be responsible for managing career growth, meeting with direct reports and global POCs, planning and delivering on strategy and programmatic goals, and managing the team’s ROB. Additionally, you will be expected to drive content-related programs from conception to delivery. This is the right role for you if you are passionate about branding and design, are an expert in marketing channels, and have a knack for team building and cross-team collaboration. Great interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication, time management, ability to multi-task efficiently, and openness to change are required.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• 5+ years experience in a content strategy and creative leadership role• 5+ years experience centralizing content delivery through a digital asset management platform.• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related creative field• Experience working as part of a global team supporting multiple languages.• Knowledge and experience in brand governance and brand development• Leadership/project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and to effectively scope and deliver projects under tight deadlines.• Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience creating content for translation and localization.• Experience with HTML, XML, DITA, and content management systems (CMS).• Proven record of mentoring junior colleagues.• Passionate about data, discovering new trends, and driving actions through insights.
