Introduction:The job description which follows incorporates the collegiate, collaborative and individual duties of thejob holder at the time of issue and will be reviewed regularly to reflect any changesMain purpose:- To be an effective teacher who maintains and enhances the quality of teaching and learning ofthe genre of Singing ensuring that students are positively encouraged to develop theirpotentialResponsibilities include:- To teach where appropriate on FE and HE programmes- To plan schemes of work and prepare lessons with reference to the curriculum and artisticprofile of the College- To organise the setting, marking and moderating of Singing assessments and reporting to theHead of Department- To comply with the College’s pastoral procedures and practices- To comply to the College’s quality assurance procedure and practices- To liaise with other teachers to ensure the parity of teaching and learning within the subjectand department- To contribute to curriculum development when required- To attend staff and faculty meetings as required- To contribute as required to the annual timetable for students and staff- To participate in the preparation of internal and external College performances as required
