Looking for two actors for a low budget short film, shooting in the West Midlands in early February 2022. The actors must be local to, or have easy access to Hereford and/or Bristol, and be available for a one day shoot. This position is paid.



The project is a 5 minute spoken word artist’s film, by two queer artists from working class backgrounds, funded by a mental health charity organisation. The focus of the work is on mental health, class and masculinity. 



Shooting dates: 7th/8th February (tbc, with 14th/15th February as back up)

Location: Hereford / Bristol

Age: 20 - 27 in appearance. Actors must be over 18.

Gender: Man

Fee: Paid, low budget film



About the film:

A short film about a young man in a pub in the rural west midlands, negotiating his relationship to alcohol and his mental health. Themes focus on masculinity, class, mental health issues, loneliness and escapism.



About the characters:

Two men in their early to mid twenties, with rural working class background, having a drink down the local pub.
