SYPNOPSIS

 Jessica, a trans woman living in Brighton, hasn't been on a date since before she came out. That is until her best friend Travis decided to set her up on a blind date with some he thinks she'll like; Jessica is hesitant at first but goes along with the idea. A wrench is thrown into Jessica's plans however when she realises that her date, a tomboyish woman named Avery, is actually someone she used to go to school with before she transitioned. Avery doesn't seem to recognise her, so Jessica then has to navigate her past while trying her best to make the date go smoothly.



This film is a short student made rom-com about learning to overcome insecurities and realising how far you've come. It is being directed by a trans woman with a largely LGBTQ+ crew. We will be shooting in Brighton and are mainly looking for Actresses in the Brighton area. Though the film is a romance, the most that happens in the script in terms of physical contact is a kiss on the cheek and holding hands. Based on the script, the film will be around 12-15 minutes in length and will be shot around late March to early April, if all goes to plan.
