JOB TITLESenior Manager – Technical DistributionOVERVIEWThe Senior Manager of Technical Distribution resides within the engineering vertical of the WarnerMedia business. The role encompasses technical and managerial responsibilities across both EMEA and APAC.The purpose of this role is to build, deploy, maintain, and support WarnerMedia’s portfolio of linear distribution platforms. Working as part of the Global Transport team the role is key to ensuring excellence on the delivery of video channels transmission to the company’s customers. The role will provide guidance, support to the business by reviewing distribution topologies, technology, compression elements and improving them by removing any unique points of failure to increase Satellite, Fiber, and cloud transport reliability.The role currently has two direct engineering reports, the successful candidate will manage and develop the team to ensure smooth delivery of projects and 3rd line troubleshooting. On a day-to-day basis this role will work closely with the project management office, operations, and service management teams.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead the team and establish strong relationships with the Operations teams to be successful in accomplishing business goals.Build, deploy, expand, support, and maintain distribution platforms ensuring the underlining hardware and software satisfies the business, industry and customers’ requirements and expectations.Communicate effectively to the internal stakeholders of any changes, major issues or planned works relating to linear distribution across both regions.Perform people management responsibilities such as setting goals, training, development, escalation, and administration tasks.Lead meetings and discussions while working closely with operations, service management and project managers to provide technical authority for all projects throughout EMEA and APAC.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSAt least 2 years’ experience of managing a teamUnderstanding of Cloud Services and the role they play in BroadcastAt least 5 years’ experience within the Broadcast & Media industryExperience working with Synamedia, Harmonic and CommScopeAt least 3 years’ experience working with Satellite, Fiber & Internet DistributionTrack record of making small and large-scale distribution changes to drive efficiencies and synergiesAt least 3 years’ engineering experience within the industryKnowledge of modern protocols and standards such as Zixi, SRT, RIST, SMPTE2110, SMPTE2022-6, SDI, IP, ASI.        The PerksExclusive WarnerMedia events and advance screeningsPaid time off every year to volunteer for eligible employeesAccess to well-being tools, resources, and freebiesAccess to in-house learning and development resourcesPart of the WarnerMedia family of powerhouse brands
