  • Project Details
i need cast for an exciting narrative short film. This narrative short film, entitled 'the English Lesson' is going to be my fifth project and most exciting short I've done so far. It's set in London in a language school, and is about an English teacher, Virgil, employed to assist the efficient auto-prof: a computerised English teacher. The film is set in the future and offers a pessimistic Orwellian portrayal of how modern cutthroat capitalism is shaping the English Language profession, plus education in general, and more importantly where it might be heading. This is an unpaid position, regretfully, but there will be expenses and food on set, plus lots of encouragement and refreshing challenges. Also you will be contributing to something with a strong political message Also it will be challenging project which should put you in good stead for future projects. The shoot will take place for 2 weekends - 29th/30th/31st August, 5th/6th Sept, and maybe the following Saturday 10th in case of run overs. We will also have a rehearsal scheduled for the previous Sunday the 23rd August We are running a crowdfunding campaign for the project at the moment and if we don't meet our target, we might have to postpone the project till the new year, but hopefully this won't happen. If you are interested please email and I will audition you and fill you in on the project. If I don't get back to you this is because of a overwhelming response so I do apologize profusely if this is the case, but I always keep everyone's CV and details on record.
