"It's 1991 in North-East England. Roger is dealing with mental health problems and tries to find where he fits back into the world after suffering a tragic loss."“I NEED HELP” is a story about loss, and how that can affect the human mind if not dealt with properly. Roger lost his pregnant wife in a freak car accident six years prior to the films events.In the present, he can’t find it within himself to let go. Due in large part to the dismissal and lack of understanding of mental illness of the period.We see Roger’s struggle and how his illness is affecting his everyday life, the events that led him to be this way and his eventual mental breakdown, climaxing in a desperate standoff at knife point as a massive cry for help."We are looking for a vibrant combination of actors to populate this period psychological drama.The shoot will take place in various locations around Darlington and Stockton, so applicants who can drive would be ideal however we're more than happy to accommodate.Days 1,2 & 3 we are filming in Darlington, and Days 4 & 5 we are in Stockton at the main location.We are having auditions in Middlesbrough and Darlington over the next week.
