  • Project Details
The Documentary Film Makers Cooperative is looking for an ACTOR for a short docu-drama film about Ada Salter, a pioneer environmentalist who also made remarkable contributions to the women's movement and the peace movement over her 40 year career before

    her death in 1942.

    The role:

Dr Alfred Salter (Ada's husband) – approximately 30-40. Tall, healthy physique, dark hair. Gregarious personality, loves debating, raucous laugh, loves giving speeches, known as the 'fire-brand', but prone to being moody and truculent.

You can see a picture attached.

Please note, it is a voluntary role with within-London travel and refreshments expenses provided. We offer a deferred payment contract for these days + the opportunity to act in the long version if the project get funded.

The short film to be produced will be used for fundraising for us to make a longer docudrama on Ada Salter's life and the issues her work addressed. Depending on us securing funds, we hope to be able to offer you paid work in the future.

Actors applying must be interested in the subject matter and happy to work with professional directors and film crew.

If this sounds like it is something you may be interested in, and you are willing to commit to 4 days filming between 22nd April and 30th May 2018 then we would love to hear from you.

The exact dates will be set to match the availability of crew, actors and presenters. Attachments:
