Colet Court, St Paul's Prep School, by Hammersmith Bridge in London is seeking a Freelance Set & Costume Designer for an upcoming production of LORD OF THE FLIES. This will be a major production in their school hall, directed by Tom Foster the Director of Drama.Colet Court has a strong reputation for producing high quality productions, and has arguably one of the best prep school drama departments in the country.This is a PAID position, based on a Design & Build contract working to an agreed materials budget. Applicants should put forward a rough proposal of the cost of the set/costumes and their fee. This total should not exceed £2,500 for both materials and feeThe Designer will be responsible for the design and build of all sets, costumes and get-out and return afterwards. This position is FREELANCE and should not be confused with the Theatre Technician (Full-time) position also being advertised at Colet Court.The successful applicant will be working in a school environment so through background checks will need to happen before any work on site can start, or contracts signed.
