We are looking for a female and male actor between the ages of 30 and 40 for our Graduate film at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Dandelion is a film exploring the changing emotions a person faces when dealing with grief and visually considers how someone can be remembered after their loss.

The voice acting will be done separately so there will be no dialogue involved we’re just looking for an on-screen actors.

Neither of the characters will be seen face on at any one time as we are looking to portray that during times of grief you try to grasp onto memories but can’t quite remember them vividly and memories become abstract. The beginning of the script tries to grasp the memories and images of the male character which are often distorted, and as the script moves on the monologue and visuals come into the present which is when we see more of the female actor but these will mainly be shots from behind.

The fun with this film for actors is tasking yourself with acting with your body and with movement rather than with your face and expressions and also gives you the chance to work extremely closely with a director and a working set! We wanted to cast actors for these roles instead of extras as we believe casting actors will bring more authenticity that we wouldn’t necessarily get elsewhere.

We're looking for someone in London (we will pay for expanses of travel to Sussex) or actors local to the Sussex area for this.

Both actors have to be comfortable with bare body parts (legs, stomach, for example) on camera (No complete nudity) and comfortable with acting as though they are being intimate with one another.

Female actor has to be comfortable smoking.
