  • About me

David Gibb is a family songwriter, theatre maker and author. Since 2014 he has released four albums of songs for families, most recently in collaboration with 3-time Grammy nominee and American songwriter Brady Rymer. His music has been played on family radio shows all over the world including SiriusXM’s ‘Kids Place Live’, and he has performed at hundreds of festivals, theatres, libraries, museums and village halls across the UK and beyond.

His theatre shows include Letters Through Your Door (2014), and Climb That Tree (2017), the latter of which completed three successful UK tours with venues including Sage Gateshead, The Marlow Theatre and Nottingham Theatre Royal and was subsequently picked up by 6 different rural touring schemes across the country. His latest show, Rolling Down The Road has been produced by Half Moon Theatre and is set to tour Spring 2021.

David’s debut picture book for children Too Many Bubbles was published by Simon & Schuster in August 2020, and his next book entitled Two Wheels will be published by Walker Books. He hosts a regular Sunday radio show for Little Radio, a station aimed at families set up by Cbeebies presenter Chris Jarvis.

Whether on record, on stage, or on the page, David has one aim in life - to create experiences that the whole family can enjoy together.
