About me
Isaac Oliver Short (b.2000) - I am a young composer/sound designer from Nottingham, UK - currently living and studying composition in London, UK at the Royal Academy of music. I have been professionally working on music projects from a young age, with my music being broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and Amazing Radio - amongst other global stations - at the age of 13. Since then I have been producing more contemporary experimental compositional and soundtrack work, having worked with the Royal Parks in London, writing music their 'Music for Trees' event in Regents Park, as well as having orchestral and chamber performances of my work in London through my university. I have a specific interest in electronics with years of experience with modular synthesis, Ableton Live & Max/MSP, with this having a substantial effect on my compositional output. Alongside this, I have the ability to thoroughly and quickly score and render a professional project from start to finish, be it orchestral, electronic or a combination of them both, with a small but complete home studio setup.I consider myself a dedicated and hardworking individual - I work swiftly and in detail on my work and believe I can work well as both part as a team and as an individual on a number of audio related tasks, from full feature-length scores, to sound design and mixing/mastering.
