About me
From the beginning of my music career, I have lived in culture-rich cities. Growing up in Edinburgh exposed me to many traditional types of music and gave me my first taste of what being a musician meant. From age 16, I began gigging in bars and clubs around Edinburgh and Glasgow. Upon graduating with a BA in Music Performance & Composition (my studied instrument was bass guitar), I had developed a love of production and composition. Whilst I'd been exposed to a lot of different music growing up and played in all sorts of bands, my true love was electronica and dance music. I had been heavily drawn towards French House music and this led me to Paris in search of opportunities that I wasn't finding back home.During my time here I collaborated with several different producers and landed a spot playing bass for a well-established afro-house producer (Portable aka Bodycodes). During this time I was finding my creative self. Much of the scene I had been lusting for had happened 10 years previously in Paris. During this time I joined a London based collective called 'The Fearless Few'. The music we create is based around production challenges set by members all with the time constraint of 180 minutes. Whilst we communicated online, I was desperate to meet these people in real life. Between that and the feeling it was time for a change, I moved to London.
Here is where things began to change rapidly. In the first year, I released my first single, had other remixes released through the collective and landed my first commission from Channel 4 as part of their 'Random Acts' series. I'm now looking for more composing and production opportunities to dive into. Whilst dance music is my passion, I am capable of writing in other styles and demonstrable in my work for Channel 4. To give an idea of my influences, I have listed some favourite artists below.
Daft Punk
Franz Ferdinand
The Gorillaz
J Dilla
Queens of the Stoneage

I am the director of a teaching business called 'Rock U London'. This is a franchise of a school I worked at in Paris. We offer band tuition to adults in London looking for something a little different to do after work. We are currently working on opening up the programme to schools.
