Chris Morris and Anna Kendrick have secretly shot a new movie
Director Chris Morris and actress Anna Kendrick have collaborated on a film, shooting in the Dominican Republic and America.
Morris, 55, has been quiet of late after winning a BAFTA for 2010 terrorist comedy Four Lions.
Since then, the Brass Eye and Jam creator directed a few episodes of HBO's Veep, along with couple of cameos in Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle for the BBC.
But now comedy website Chortle have revealed the satirist secretly shot a film with Trolls star Anna Kendrick over the summer.
Morris has revealed nothing about the plot of this new venture but Kendrick, 32, most famous for the Pitch Perfect trilogy has shared images on social media, showing her wearing an FBI cap and posing with body armour and a machine gun.
She is joined by Four Lions star Kayvan Novak and Orange Is The New Black's Danielle Brooks.
Denis O'Hare, of True Blood, who recently commented that Chris Morris is 'wonderful, wacky', also stars.
Bones actor Pej Vahdat wrote on Instagram that the shoot was "by far one of the best experiences of my life.
"This film is going to be absolutely epic and I can't wait for you all to see it."
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Four Lions screenwriter Simon Blackwell commented on the upcoming project: 'I’m aware of what [Morris is] cooking, but I can’t show you the menu I’m afraid. He has an elite troop of killers who will come and get you.
"He’s doing something marvellous, as you would expect.'
The film will be co-produced by See-Saw Films and Archer Grey Productions and financed by Film 4, who were also behind Four Lions.
Chris Morris reinvented satire in the mid-90s with hit BBC show The Day Today and then again in the 2000s with Brass Eye for Channel 4.
