VIDEO: Avengers: Infinity War trailer released – watch here
The first Avengers: Infinity War trailer is now available for viewing.
Avengers: Infinity War is the apex of Marvel's cinematic vision so far – the almost 20 strong canon of Marvel films have been building to this point since the very first Iron Man way back in 2008.
The trailer – available below – features almost every single Marvel Cinematic Universe character so far as they team up to take on the all powerful Thanos (Josh Brolin) in an effort to stop him collecting every infinity stone.
If successful Thanos would be able to bend reality to his will as each stone affords the owner control over a different part of the multiverse; Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality, and Power.
We've seen glimpses of Thanos in a couple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's films so far – The Avengers and Guardians of The Galaxy – but he hasn't been given a chance to flex his big CGI muscles in any of them yet.
The Avengers: Infinity War trailer features Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) as well as Spiderman's “spidey senses” being shown for the first time.
We also get a glimpse of Thanos versus Iron Man, some more Hulk Buster suit and a huge-scale all-out war across multiple continents.
Avengers: Infinity War will also see the Guardians of The Galaxy (Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper) joining the team, as the amount of goodies and baddies on-screen reaches deliciously ridiculous levels.
The original Avengers grossed over $1bn worldwide and – after a sketchy sequel – comic book fans around the world have been looking forward to this Marvel story which could spell the end for some favourite characters.
Earlier this week, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, revealed a further 20 Marvel films are planned.
"We've got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that's come before – intentionally," he said.
