Dance legend Akram Khan is retiring from full-length dance performances with his final solo show Xen
Xenos will premiere in May 2018 as part of Sadler's Wells' Spring programme in London, UK.
The show takes inspiration from World War I and Greek mythology and commemorates the First World War centenary.
Xenos was commissioned by UK arts programme 14-18 NOW.
"I want to explore our connection with our past and our future, investigating specific questions that confront me more and more every day, such as how does ‘myth’ play a part in today’s society?" Khan said.
"XENOS explores the central question at the heart of the myth – was Prometheus’ gift the blessing or the curse of mankind?"
Khan's show runs from May 29 to June 9 at Sadler's Wells in London, UK, before going on an international tour.
Tickets for the London show go on sale on November 6.Tags:
