Showrunner of ‘Supergirl’ and ‘The Flash’ suspended by Warner Bros.
Andrew Kreisberg, the Executive Producer of hit shows ‘Arrow’, ‘Supergirl’, ‘The Flash’ and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ has been suspended by Warner Bros, as the entertainment company launches an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment.
Nineteen men and women have come forward with allegations against the producer.
Originally reported by Variety, the allegations included inappropriate touching, kissing women without consent and making sexual comments towards women.
Warner Bros. released a statement saying, “We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”
Kreisberg has denied all the allegations against him, saying, "I have made comments on women’s appearances and clothes in my capacity as an executive producer, but they were not sexualized.”
A host of stars from the shows the producer was involved with have come forward with statements condemning sexual harassment.
Melissa Benoist, who plays Supergirl in the CW Network show, said “I am a woman who leads a show that supports equality and feminism, empowerment, and fighting for what is right.”
The entertainment industry has been rocked recently with a wave of allegations made against celebrities including Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and Brett Ratner.Tags:
