The top London acting agents for film and TV
If you're a London-based actor with a substantial number of acting roles under your belt, it might be time to start looking for representation from one of the big agencies. In many cases, you'll be perfectly happy with the agent you have so far, especially if they've got you a lot of work. But if you think it's time to move on – or you don't think there is room to secure the acting roles you want with your current agent – then you'll need to familiarise with the big players at large.
Quite often the big agencies will come to you, having seen your acting skills, potential or just hearing about you on the grapevine.
But don't presume this to be the case – even the busiest agent will not want to miss out on the next shining star or excellent lead support and will often have assistants or junior agents on the lookout.
Also, if you've never had an agent before, don't assume you won't be considered (for the same reason!)
Let's have a look at some of the best big name acting agencies for film and TV in London.
United Artists
Representing a big mix of clients spanning all manner of creative industries, United Artists carry everyone from actors, models, directors, writers, musicians and more. United is one of the best agencies in London, if not the world.
With clients on their extensive roster including Cara Delevingne, Tom Hardy, Taron Egerton and Ricky Gervais, you can be sure to find the agent right for you among the many specialists United have to offer – just their list of agents dwarfs most boutique agency's entire client list.

Creative Artists Agency (CAA)
One of the biggest and best agencies in the world, CAA represent the cream of the crop. If you currently have representation but are looking to jump ship to bigger and better things, then CAA might be for you.
If you think your showreel is up to scratch – and by up to scratch we mean up there with Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro and Michael Fassbender – send it to them as they are always open to new clients.

William Morris Endeavour (WME)
Much like CAA, WME are a gigantic, worldwide agency, with over 300 agents and 4, 500 clients from a diverse range of backgrounds. But just as a taster, on joining, you will be on a roster with the likes of Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Elle Fanning and Jake Gyllenhaal.
If you think you have what it takes you can send your showreel to WME.

PBJ
PBJ (which stands for Peter Bennett-Jones, not peanut butter and jelly) are one of the UK's leading comedy agencies. So you better be funny. With artists – often writer/performers – like Noel Fielding, Adam Buxton, Chris Morris, Eddie Izzard and Armando Iannucci, you'll be hard pushed to find a more comprehensive agency if you're looking to get ahead in the UK comedy scene.
