Meet the child actor playing Tommy Shelby's son in Peaky Blinders
PEAKY Blinders child actor Jenson Clarke wowed audiences after joining the BBC show as Cillian Murphy's on-screen son.
The six-year-old star made his TV debut on Wednesday night (November 15) as Charlie Shelby in the Birmingham-set gangster drama and appears to be staying for more episodes.
And the child actor's mother, Melanie Clarke, revealed what it was like to work on the fourth series of the hit show.
She told the Manchester Evening News: "Cillian was just incredible giving Jensen high fives and chatting away.
"You would think they were a real father and son the way they were together, so much so that people on social media wondered if it was his real son in the preview clip!"
Melanie started taking Jenson to acting classes – at TV Talent Club in Manchester, UK – when he was three-years-old and took it in turns with Jenson's father to chaperone him on the Peaky Blinders set.
But it's not just Jenson emerging from the Clarke family as a little star.
The child actor's older brother Reuben will also feature later on in the series.
Peaky Blinders filmed in north west locations such as Rochdale Town Hall, Granada Studios and Arley Hall.
The gangster crime drama made a shock return to the BBC with – SPOILER ALERT – one popular character being offed.
The show is already confirmed for a fifth series set to air next year.Tags:
