Steven Spielberg's West Side Story announces additional open casting call
Steven Spielberg's casting team have announced another open casting call for the West Side Story movie.
The open casting call for West Side Story will take place on Monday October 29 in Miami, Florida, US, and will be held by casting director Cindy Tolan.
Candidates should have a "strong dance background", "must be able to sing" and should be between the ages of 15 and 25.
Auditionees will be vying for roles as members of the gangs, the Sharks and Jets, with the Sharks being Latinx and the Jets Caucasian.
Male candidates must sign between 9 and 10.30am and females between 1 and 2.30pm.

Performers are also required to attend "warmed up and ready to dance in the proper attire/shoes.
"Men should wear comfortable movement clothes and bring jazz shoes or sneakers.
"Women should wear comfortable movement clothes and bring character heels, ballet or jazz flats and rehearsal skirt."
The open casting call also requires candidates to "prepare a short cut (16 bars) of a classic musical theatre song" with sheet music as well as a photo and resume with contact information "stapled back-to-back".
Talent will be seen on a first come, first served basis.
West Side Story stars Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver, The Fault in Our Stars) as lead character Tony.
As far as reports go, Maria has not yet been cast.
