Open auditions to be held for the West End return of ‘Bat Out of Hell’
The producers behind ’Bat Out of Hell’ will be holding open-auditions ahead the musical's anticipated return to the West End in 2018.
Will Burton, associate casting director of the musical, announced details of the audition on Nov 14.
The advert states that candidates must have an “Outstanding vocal ability” and “Authentic rock sound”.
Those attending the audition have been asked to prepare two rock numbers they will be asked to perform to showcase their range and stamina.
Candidates must be available for a one year West End contract, to run from Feb 2018.
‘Bat Out of Hell’ boasts a script, music and lyrics by award-winning Jim Steinman.
Steinman has also incorporated iconic songs from Meat Loaf’s ‘Bat Out of Hell’ albums, including ‘I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won’ do That)’ and ‘You Took the Words Right Out of my Mouth’.
The show had its world premiere at the London Coliseum in June this year and is currently being staged in Toronto until Dec 3.
Dates and a venue for the musical's return have yet to be announced.
