Opportunities Policy

Our Opportunities board is largely limited to student and micro budget films, as well as fringe theatre.

Please ensure you include enough details on your project and about your production company (without any contacts, as these will be removed) in your job post.

Please keep in mind that our website is for professionals, and we need to guarantee that any Opportunities are chances for our members to advance their careers.

Not inputting these details will delay your job post being live on the site.

Mandy Actors UK

In line with National Minimum Wage legislation we only post a job as paid if the guaranteed fee throughout the production dates meets National Living Wage per hour, although we recommend a minimum rate of £75 a day, for 8 hours or less.  This includes any rehearsals, shooting or performance days, as well as any other commitment required from the actors.

We do not list Amateur Dramatics on Mandy Actors

For Opportunities, we advise that candidates receive at the least travel expenses for each day of both rehearsal and performance required.

Please state what you are able to offer in the “salary field”; this may include:

  • Food expenses or meals provided
  • A copy of the finished project
  • Complimentary tickets to the production for industry peers.
  • Profit share

Mandy Kids UK

Following from discussions with Equity and parents/guardians on Mandy Kids, we do not post any unpaid or low paid projects, and would require any projects casting actors under the age of 18 to guarantee to meet our minimum rate of at least National Living Wage per hour + expenses. This includes any rehearsals, shooting or performance days, as well as any other commitment required from the actors.

The expenses are there to take into consideration the travel required of the chaperone for the Child Actor.

It is your responsibility as an Employer to ensure you have the correct licenses in place when hiring a Child Actor, as detailed on the Gov.UK website
