The Geneva Convention of Human F**ks
Yet To Be

The Geneva Convention of Human F**ks
Yet To Be

  • Project Details
Yet To Be is a newly formed theatre company, which brings together Charlie Whitworth of Write By Numbers / Eager Spark and O'Shea Marin of O&O / Marina O'Shea. We formed in the summer of 2021 and performed our first two shows at Exeter Fringe Festival in October 2021. We have since been on the Exeter Northcott Futures programme and are currently working on two projects. You can check us out at yettobe.org.

Our main project is The Geneva Convention of Human F**ks, which we are taking on a festival / fringe tour this year to finish its development before embarking on a Studio scale tour with it next year (2023).

We need a new female actor to join our two existing cast members. The performer needs to have a base in the South West of England as rehearsals will take place in Exeter, Devon between 11th July - 22nd July 2022.

Performed entirely by female actors, The Geneva Convention of Human F**ks follows Liam, Peter and Michael on their latest sex holiday as they revise what they think is right and wrong, challenge their friendships and question their relationship as men to women. The play tackles themes such as sex tourism, sex trafficking and toxic masculinity. It was written by Charlie Whitworth who will also be directing the piece. The play was first performed as an R&D at the Exeter Fringe back in 2019 and was performed fully for the first time at Exeter Fringe in 2021.

An extract of the play can be downloaded here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lKK9AJoguP_SDJJghCTqoEX8r7DOMK5GZMX7yBszLe0/edit?usp=sharing

Dates confirmed for the tour so far are:

    Nozstock Festival, Herefordshire – Saturday 23rd July 2022 8.15pm.
Bedford Fringe Festival, Quarry Theatre – Tuesday 26th July 2022 9.15pm.
Ventnor Fringe Festival, The Nest, Ventnor Park, Isle Of Wight – Sunday 31st July 6pm & 8pm.

Another date might be added for July (possibly the 21st) and two dates are to be confirmed for September / early October.

As it stands, we don't know if we are going to be able to pay a fee for this project. We are awaiting the outcome of an ACE application but need to cast before we have heard the outcome. If we get the funding we will be able to pay at ICT rates - if we do not, we will be operating on a profit share agreement and we will also cover your accommodation and organise your travel. Tickets to the music festival Nozstock will also be included. Please do not apply for this project if you aren't happy to accept a role under a purely profit share proposal. Any profits from the show under this proposal we will split between the performers and the company equally.

The audition process for Geneva will be as follows:

Applications accepted up to 11:59pm on Monday 27th June.
Yet To Be will ask certain applicants to then send in a Self Tape to them.
Final shortlisted performers will then be interviewed by Charlie of Yet To Be during the Wk beginning 27th June either in person or over Zoom.
