AD and Intimacy Coordinator

  • Project Details
"How Not To Write A Rom Com" is a 20-minute short proof-of-concept film. It tells the story of a besotted screenwriter, who attempts to win back the actress of his dreams by writing a script about their former semblance of a relationship. But when his beloved actress insists that somebody else should act opposite her, our infatuated screenwriter finds himself having to direct a better-looking version of himself in an intimate sex scene with the woman he loves.

We are looking for somebody to come on board as both our First Assistant Director and our Intimacy Coordinator for “How Not To Write A Rom Com”.

Applicants must not only be confident enough to manage our cast and crew and ensure that they stay on schedule, but must also have at least one experience of having worked as an Intimacy Coordinator.

The nature of the sex scene will depend on what our two selected actors are comfortable with, but the tone will be witty and implicit rather than raunchy and explicit.

Given that this role involves Intimacy Coordination, we are particularly keen to hear from female applicants.

This short proof of concept film will be submitted to multiple leading film festivals, all of our cast and crew will be credited on IMDb, and we will promote your involvement with the film on social media. In addition, we will provide lots of good food and drink during our shoots, and pay for reasonable travel expenses.

Daniel Newman has written, directed, and produced a wide range of short films including "After The March", "Smoking Fist", "The Cannibals", and "X Marks The Spot".
