Self-funded short film. ‘Ridicule' is a ‘ritual’ film that through dreamlike language, represents the social vulnerability of an artist and their subsequent transformation from observed to observer. The story is about the anxiety of an artist. When an artist displays their work, they are as much putting themselves on display as they are their work. In the film, she goes from being judged by the public, to choosing to blend in with the crowd and join the public that laughed at her.
