    Casting "The Two Gentlemen of Verona," a comedy by William Shakespeare. The director states: "I’ve been directing Shakespeare professionally for over 10 years now; having directed 9 of Shakespeare’s 14 folio comedies, this will be my 10th comedy play and my 30th Shakespeare tour overall (including revivals). I am very excited to breathe life into this play and I’m looking for a team of strong actors willing to work in harmony together to make something great."

  • Contract Details
    Profit share only, no expenses paid. Starting at £500 as a minimum for the entire run; production is looking at paying £500 total or £1.10p per ticket sold, whichever is greater. 700 is the usual sell across a run. Limited free accommodation available, food and travel share arrangements are available to help reduce costs. Per head price likewise applies to private bookings.

    Rehearses May and June at Half House Farm; runs July 1-2, 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, 28-30, and Aug 4-6 in (not in order) Battle Abbey, Butter Cross, High St, Battle TN33 0AE; Half House Farm, Butchers Lane, Three Oaks, East Sussex, TN35 4NE; The Mermaid Inn, Mermaid St, Rye TN31 7EY; Private hire in Rolvenden, East Sussex; Private hire in Edenbridge; Tunbridge Wells TBC; Due to the unexpected closure of Bexhill Manor Barn, new venues are now being considered. Note: Approximately 16 full days of rehearsal will be scheduled flexibly based on availability for each project with intensive days the week leading up to July 1.
