Casting "The Lost Library of Spitalfields Market," a play.

Production states: "In the beating heart of the City of London sits a library. Only, it’s not like any library you’ve seen before. Sure, it’s a library full of stories – just like any library. But here, the stories come from things. Lost things, discarded things. Things that were once deeply treasured by a Londoner and now lie forgotten. Or, almost forgotten.

The library has fallen in to a stupor over recent years. Fewer and fewer people are coming in, and Maxamillian Crimp – the librarian – hasn’t had a new customer for over 18 months. That is, until Christmas eve, when Isla, a teenage girl, somehow finds her way into the library. Over the next sixty minutes, a relationship blossoms between the two, as they share their stories and discover that, in the city, connection can often be found in the most unlikely of places.
