The Paddington Bear Experience, Global Majority Call Out
Selladoor Worldwide

  • Project Details
Casting global majority performers, to act in their new family-friendly London attraction, The Paddington Bear Experience, based out of County Hall.

All performers will learn two or more roles, as per the combinations outlined in the briefs. Performance-based front of house duties (in-character welcomes or ticket-checks) may also be required on a rotating basis. Light resetting duties will also be required between scenes and audience groups.

The experience is scripted and kept to a tight run-time. You will be expected to use your improvisational skills to suitably field any customer questions/interactions while keeping scenes to their set length.

Strong improvisation and hosting skills will be needed, to manage audience groups (up to 30 people at a time) through their journey and immersive experience is a plus.

You will lead a new audience group every 7-15 minutes with requisite break times accounted for. You will also be scheduled to alternate in a swing capacity. The operation runs 7 days/week, with all actors guaranteed a designated rest day in their contracts. Working hours will normally fall between 8am and 8pm.

Note; be advised performers are required to travel through backstage areas. Please only apply if you are comfortable with tight, low-light spaces. Audiences will be allowed to take photos in parts of the experience and you will have to be comfortable having photos taken in character with members of the public.

Note: At this time we are only looking for performers from the global majority. Please only apply if you meet these criteria and you are available for an in-person audition on Tuesday the 20th February 2024.
