'Window Seat' At Edinburgh Fringe 2024
Swoop Productions

  • Project Details
Casting "Window Seat," a play for the Edinburgh Fringe 2024. Synopsis: "I became the Jeremy Clarkson of tits." In this tender off-beat comedy, a mother and daughter survey the changes in their lives while waiting on board a plane. One is getting used to an empty nest, the other to adulthood. Both of them hold high hopes for their coming trip together but, with the flight delayed, their reunion proves more turbulent than anticipated. Like passengers eavesdropping, we overhear a relationship in need of renewal between two women unsure of how to navigate change. With a mischievous, zigzagging honesty, Trix and Lois will come to surprise each other as they negotiate the emotional crosswinds.

Production states: "This is the second production of 'Window Seat.' It was originally staged as a student production at the Burton Taylor Studio in Oxford in May 2023, with three sell-out performances of a five-night run. Swoop formed as an independent production company to bring the show to the Edinburgh Fringe, adapting the script and taking the opportunity to re-cast with age-appropriate actors to better suit a festival context."
