You will be tasked with shaping and driving Sky News podcasts, building on our existing programmes and devising and commissioning new strands.- Recording, editing and publishing Sky News podcasts - Devising, pitching and developing new podcast ideas and strategies to promote them - Engaging all Sky News platforms to ensure higher visibility of our audio content- Help create a home for our audio content on the Sky News app- Develop new and existing partnerships to enhance Sky News podcastsYour skills:- An experienced podcast producer with a flair for mixing audio creatively using appropriate sound effects and music and a multitasker who can identify opportunities to help engage and grow an audience- A firm grasp of national and international news and current affairs- An in-depth knowledge of the podcast market and a demonstrable understanding of the various platforms, aggregators and commercial opportunities- A self-starter with extensive studio operating, recording and editing experience- Ability to promote Sky News podcasts on social media - Strong editorial and legal judgement- An impeccable track record in meeting firm deadlines- A highly organised and flexible approach to their work - Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to develop relationships with colleagues and external partners.
