Project DetailsArts & Entertainment Producer Sydney Permanent / Full Time 3/4/2018 Here at Nine, we are currently looking for an Associate Video Producer to join our Nine.com.au editorial team.
This role would be ideal for you if you have recently completed a
degree in media or video production, or are looking for a fresh
opportunity to become part of a growing online video team. We
are looking for someone passionate about the future of digital media
and online video. We need you to be technically savvy, have an eye for a
good story and take pride in your work. You will be
responsible for helping Nine.com.au, and its associated mastheads 9Honey
and 9News, tell compelling and engaging stories through video.
You will work alongside our award-winning team of journalists, site
editors and video specialists, to create and publish short-form video
across a range of content areas, from big breaking news events, to
stories trending online, the latest celebrity interviews, travel and
lifestyle content. We have a diverse range of skills within
the team including some industry experts, so we pride ourselves on our
training and personal development and hope that you will take this
opportunity to grow your career. Duties: You
will be accountable for discovering, editing and publishing video
content using various sources, including Nine’s broadcast systems,
social media and other online platforms, to support existing stories on
nine.com.au and to spark new ones.Edit short-form video to strict deadlines and fast turnarounds.Shoot your own video content when the need arises.Encode, categorise, tag and upload video efficiently through an in-house CMS.Write clear, concise and engaging copy for video pitches.Your work here must adhere to copyright guidelines always.You will bring fresh ideas on what video stories we tell and how we tell themWilling to be flexible in your work hours, which may include early morning starts, nights or weekend shifts. Skills, Experience and Behaviour: Must have a passion for using video to tell incredible stories.You
should have a relevant degree or diploma in media, communications or
video production, or proven equivalent work experience in a digital
environment.You must have video editing experience, and strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere.Experience with encoding and publishing video for online and social media use.You should have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.Proven skills in shooting and editing your own video stories, and using Adobe After Effects are a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills.You manage your time and stay creative despite the pressure.A solutions focused team player, who is able to trouble shoot problems as they arise.Knowledge of copyright and fair dealing, and how this applies to online video.Someone who aims to be on the pulse of compelling online editorial and emerging digital video trends.You’re willing to learn and experiment with emerging content trends and video technology -
