It is one of six enterprise security regions. The West Coast Security Operations department plans and directs Disney’s security function for all non-theme park operations in the western half of the United States and Canada along with all anti-piracy security requirements for North America. The department is responsible for the development and implementation of the region’s strategic and tactical security planning initiatives to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability that may result in financial loss to the company.The Production Security team provides oversight, assistance and response for talent protection and production security needs worldwide including talent security, production security, set location security, physical content protection, event security, investigative support, travel security, and alert monitoring, (including off-site remote locations), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In an emergency, the Production Security team can respond, oversee and direct Disney enterprise assistance and support by providing operational capabilities, technical expertise, and policy or procedural recommendations in the performance of essential services along with TWDC Global Security internal partners and TWDC regional security teams around the globe, third party security vendors, law enforcement and emergency services, formulation and dissemination of security related plans as well as being a central communication point for talent security and production security related incidents.ResponsibilitiesImplements production security and physical content protection guidelines and standards; reviews and updates on an annual basis, collaborates with key stakeholders on updates, and utilizes audit and metric processes to ensure compliance.Measures and reports on production security program compliance and progress to respective business leaders in coordination with key business partners.Applies risk assessment and proactive security measures at key facilities and events – to include site assessments, tech scouts, site/vendor audits and production/talent/crew security awareness training. Coordinates and validates recommendations with the studio, productions and business partners.Directly responsible for day to day implementation of all production security and physical content protection initiatives and processes.Responsible to assess, plan and manage the physical security and physical content protection measures necessary to support large-scale media events involving A-list talent, thousands of attendees and coordination with federal, state, local, private, and Company stakeholders.Work with Studio & Media Network segment teams and enterprise-wide Regional Security Management in implementation of production security plans.Coordinate implementation of efficient, effective security plans to safeguard assets, mitigate risk and impact to production assets including cast & crew, content and brand.Actively maintain relationships with Studio and Production leadership, allowing for open communication, proactive coordination and Global Security participation and representation in round robin and production kick off discussions after production projects have been approved.Provide guidance and implements security framework for productions (feature, music and television) while partnering with TWDC internal business units, local law enforcement and external production teams for successful implementation/resolution of proper procedure and support.Participate in all phases of production including pre-production, physical production, and post production in coordination with key business partners.May partner (to include providing on-site management) on anti-piracy and content protection strategies to safeguard unreleased content during marketing and publicity events.Conduct advance scouts to production and event locations partnering with intelligence gathering sources and coordination with local, state, federal and international agencies during all preplanning activities.Collaborate with Global Security investigative and regional security management teams on identified production and talent issues.Coordinate and support identified executive and talent protection requirements in relation to Special Events.Reviews and reports on key performance metrics to continuously measure and improve effectiveness and efficiencies of production security program goals and objectives.Basic Qualifications5 - 10 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility within private sector corporate security or a related public sector organization, including 3 years of experience managing both direct/indirect reports and/or vendors.Excellent problem solving skills.Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting security advances, planning and managing special events, investigations and risk assessments.Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.Strong operational capabilities with experience executing operational contingency plans based on threats and exposure to business executives.Working knowledge of physical security systems to include, but not limited to intrusion detection systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring systems, communications devices, and other security related software/hardware.Working knowledge of production security as required to conduct investigations, assessments and provide recommendations and/or implement the security measures needed to protect talent, events, facilities and intellectual property.Demonstrates resiliency, sound judgment, and tact in dealing with business and corporate challenges.Attention to accuracy as well as the ability to work under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, and prioritize according to business needs.Maintain a valid Guard Card (not required at time of hire), and driver’s license.Preferred QualificationsStrong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including directing and coordinating 3rd party vendors/partners to achieve deliverables
