WILX is searching for an INVESTIGATIVE/LINE PRODUCER who is driven to research, write, and produce hard investigative enterprise stories. You will be required to work within a team of reporters, photographers, and managers to cultivate sources, dig up source material from scratch, and organize several stories in various stages of development simultaneously. This producer will be a major part of the station's online success by posting stories and other content on WILX.com. The candidate will also co-produce daily newscast. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Produce a creative and informative newscast with emphasis on the viewers’ interests• Coordinate the writing and editing of scripts that incorporate video, nat sound and graphics to enhance storytelling• Coordinate and plan live shots• Develop and oversee the production of graphics• Line-produce and time the newscast in the control room• Post content to station’s digital platforms.• Writing, story development, and showcasing • Work under pressure and deadlines• Adapt to breaking news and developing stories• Communicate with anchors, field crews and control room staffRequirements:• Experience in television news• A keen eye for graphics and related visuals• Must communicate well with others• Work quickly, and on deadlines• Good news judgment
