  • Project Details
    The Post-Production Supervisor, Original Programming (full-time, salaried, manager) is responsible for managing the post process and day to day activities for the StudioTEN Original Programming department. Duties include, but are not limited to:
    * Post-Produce larger profile and sensitive projects 

    * Recruit, vet and hire post team freelance and staff positions including, but not limited to, Editors, Colorists, Audio Engineers 

    * Responsible for ensuring new hires and independent contractors understand and adhere to department policies and workflow 

    * Provide support and advice to all post production staff 

    * Oversee post production schedules for Original Programming shows 

    * Responsible for implementing post production procedures and workflow 

    * Work with post production team to increase workflow efficiency 

    * Help identify and define all budgetary parameters concerning post production of projects 

    * Maintain and nurture open communication with all related departments to ensure that policies and procedures are followed 

    * negotiate with vendors in adherence to company practices 

    * Mediate any/all conflict that arises which cannot be solved 

    * Ensure QC standards are met for all content created by post department 


    Supervisory Responsibility:
    * This position may include supervising one or more employees where applicable. Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    * Provide consistent training, support, and mentorship to team
    * Review and approve individual timecards (as needed) and time-off requests to ensure optimal staffing levels
    * Effective, fair, and consistent performance management
    * Fairly and consistently ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

    Education/Experience:
    * Preferred 5+ years’ experience in a post-production environment

    * Experience managing online editors and freelancers, production budgets, strategic postings and client relationship development


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    * Understanding of budgeting 

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    * Excellent time management skills/scheduling

    * Ability to multi-task

    * Ability to effectively manage employees and varying personalities

    * Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times

    * Understanding of Avid Media Composer and Avid Nexus Server

    * Understanding of common file delivery methods


    Physical Requirements:
    * The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view a computer screen
