Education
Year Qualification Where 2010 Workshops Arwel Treharne Morgan 2005 David Syrus Masterclass Opera School Wales 2000 Postgraduate Diploma in Performance Studies University of London 1997 BA(Hons) in Music University of Durham Additional Skills
I have sung with the BBC Singers, Rob's Voice Productions and Conventus, with whom I have performed in concert live on Radio 3, as well as recording various CDs and soundtracks for film and TV. I now have my own recording studio and have worked with hundreds of clients from around the world on vocals for film and TV soundtracks, games, new operas and choral pieces, and songs in many genres from classical crossover to hip hop and heavy metal!
I perform with my husband Darren Clarke as the duo Trovatori (www.trovatori.com). We have performed at private and corporate events, as headliners for Warner Hotels, as well as guest artists for cruise companies including Holland America, Cunard and Saga.
Additional Information
As an experienced concert performer I have sung in world class venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Cadogan Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and St John's, Smith Square.
I have performed as a soloist in numerous venues across Europe, highlights being Brahms' Requiem, Mahler's Symphony No. 4, Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, Rachmaninov's Vocalise, Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria and Schubert's Magnificat.
I continue my vocal studies with Arwel Treharne Morgan, and have received coaching from Mary King, Anthony Legge, Donald Maxwell, David Syrus and Steven Maughan.
About me
I am a high soprano with years of experience performing in operas, concerts and recording sessions. I now also run a successful remote session singing business from my home studio.
I started singing after graduating with a music degree in composition from Durham University. Whilst in my early days of training as a singer I received valuable coaching and advice through reaching the final stages of Channel 4's Operatunity competition.
Since then I have performed many operatic roles including Tosca for Heritage Opera, Queen of the Night (Mozart's Magic Flute) for British Youth Opera and Surrey Opera, Gilda (cover) and Countess Ceprano (Verdi's Rigoletto) for Heritage Opera, Clorinda (Rossini's La Cenerentola) and Adina (Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore) for Vox Lirika, Adèle (J. Strauss' Die Fledermaus) for Steyning Music Society, Fiordiligi (Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte) for Opera UK and Birmingham Chamber Orchestra, Tatyana (Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin) for Birmingham Chamber Orchestra and the Lace Seller (Britten's Death in Venice) in the Aldeburgh Festival - a role I went on to perform at the Bregenz Festival in Austria, where I also appeared as the ZDF Director and Airport Officer in Benedict Mason's Playing Away.
