About me
As a musical theatre performer and singer my whole life revolves around my voice, not only can I hold a tune but I have a huge passion for what I do. The traditional story of singing since I was a little girl pops up here, but I never really grew up knowing what I wanted to be or what I was going to do. I had always had a role in school plays and sang solo at the schools Christmas church service but it was only when a school friend of mine invited me to see an am dram show he was in at the local Angles Theatre (Oliver) that I really discovered the magic of theatre. He , my friend, then dragged me along to the pantomime auditions (Aladdin) which were only a few weeks after I had seen his show, I sang and danced and acted a little bit, and I was cast with a principal role alongside people who had been doing it for years. I found myself being so in awe of the theatre and the performers and the technicians that I just knew that this was were I wanted to be, performing. The rush of the audience applause in the curtain calls and finale numbers gave me a high I had never experienced before, the 15 year old me was hooked and hearing that I was good at it only spurred me on to want to do more. Since then I have earned a National Diploma in Musical Theatre at a triple distinction grade and a BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre. I have performed professionally on several occasions both within musical theatre and as both a rock and 50s style vocalist. I realise that 5 years isn't long in the grand scheme of things but I still have just as much, if not more, passion for singing and performing now than I did at 15, waiting backstage at the Angles Theatre, and I have a feeling it's going to stay that way for a very long time.Additional skills:
