Highlights
-
At the start of 2019 I was offered an extra job as a WW1 soldier in an upcoming WW1 film. Which I was quite excited about as films set during the Wars are one of my favourite genres. But I didn't quite understand what the film would actually become and that would be 1917, by Sam Mendes.
It was one of the most amazing extra jobs I had done. The set was extraordinary and even though I was only playing a sleeping soldier, I made sure that you could see me sleeping, which you can!
I also got the chance to have a long chat with the main actor George MacKay, during a section where he would walk past me in the film. We talked about travel to the set, acting, and how I want to be an actor as well. He really gave me a better look at the industry and made me want to work even harder and to get to where he is as an actor. As he said to me, "If I can do it, you can".
