I have always had a desire and enthusiasm for performance which was initially fed through my interest in film.
In my mid 20s I entered the amateur theatre and was pleased to realise that I took to it very well. Taking more challenging roles and improving with every performance, the acting began to consume my interests and I now know that I need and want more.
The organic process of working with a team towards a production and then live performance is an enthralling and hugely satisfying experience. Every performance is different and reacting to moments in character between actors can produce some breath-taking and engaging moments.
My late start to acting has been mostly due to a combination of confidence and a lack of courage. Now I have overcome these hurdles, my determination to achieve a long standing dream is stronger than ever before.
Sport, History, Shakespeare, Words, Psychology.
I have been acting in amateur theatre for around 3 years. Plays range from The Crucible, The Canterbury Tales and Hamlet.
I have limited film experience but it is an area I would be keen to develop if given the right opportunity.
I have untaken acting classess at Chichester Festival Theatre. I am attending a Shakespeare summer school at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama this year.
