Mandy's Surgery Session: Editor, Nicolas Chaudeurge

Mandy’s Surgery Sessions are your opportunity to gain valuable insights and advice from leading figures in the industry. 

We are delighted to announce that esteemed editor, Nicolas Chaudeurge, will be doing a series of one-on-one sessions with several Mandy members on 12th and 13th October! These sessions are the perfect chance for emerging and established editors to:

  • Get top tips on their CV and showreel
  • Learn how to work on high-end TV and films
  • Understand how to get an agent
  • Understand the relationship between director/editor
  • Take the next steps in their career and more!


Nicolas

Nicolas graduated from the National Film and Television School in 2001, during which time he was awarded the 1st Prize in Editing at the Kodak Commercials Competition and the Best Editing prize at the Drama Film Festival. Between 1993 and 2005, he edited over 20 award-winning short films, including Andrea Arnold’s Academy Award winning Wasp. He continued working with Arnold on her features Red Road and Fish Tank, which both won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Other notable credits include multiple episodes of Black Mirror, The Third Day, Top Boy, Still Alice, The Hummingbird Project (for which he was nominated for Achievement in Editing at 2018’s Canadian Screen Awards) and much more. While still working as an editor, Nicolas is also a Senior Editing Fellow and visiting tutor at the National Film and TV School and has led sessions at many other institutions around the world.

When: Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th October. Members will have a slot that will be determined after they are selected.

Where: Zoom. The invite will be emailed to members that are successful.


Mandy Surgery sessions are run exclusively for Premium Members and applicants will be entered into a raffle to be selected. To be in with the chance of having a one-on-one session with Nicolas, all you have to do is answer the question below! Hurry, we will be closing the draw on Sunday 4th October at 23.59 BST. We will then contact the lucky winners by Wednesday 7th October.
