About me
My name is Alexandra Phoenix Chaves and I have recently graduated from the Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Costume at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. With regards to being a Costume Maker I have been trained in pattern cutting, costume interpretation and construction, tailoring, corsetry, millinery. I have also been trained in Costume Supervision which involved working closely with a designer, period research, sourcing costumes, budgeting, fittings, making costumes, alterations, managing dressers, laundry and maintenance, get-ins and get-outs. As a Costume Supervisor I have had the opportunity to work with many Directors and Designers such as Richard Wilson (Director), and Mark Friend (Designer). I have also trained as a Wardrobe Assistant and Dresser which involved Making costumes, alterations, repairs, dyeing and breaking down, as well as dressing on the shows.Referees:
