About me
I have worked on a variety of productions, from small scale studio pieces on tiny budgets, through to site specific spectacles in huge warehouses or outdoor locations. My main area of interest lies in devised and site-responsive work, but I also enjoy more traditional styles of theatre, and I also work regularly in film, TV, and live events.I am co-artistic director of Bread & Goose. We are a collective whose work focuses on creating an engaging performance environment for the audience. Our company website is www.breadandgoose.co.uk
You can see more examples of my work on my website www.alisonneighbourdesign.com

Industry awards:
Selected to present 'The Incurable Imagination of Anthony Jones' at the World Stage Design Congress 2013.

TESTIMONIALS
"Alison was simply the best thing to happen to the production of the short film THE BLUES LOVER. From our first meeting she straight away got the spirit of the film and ran away with it. She brought suggestions to the table that made the film richer. She was very collaborative and was in perfect sync with the Cinematographer and myself (director). Alison is very reliable and resourceful. In a relatively short time, she sourced costumes, props and set material, effectively doing several jobs at the same time (production designer, art director and costumer). And all of this on a low budget. On filming days, the set already looked stunning to the naked eye, without the lighting, thanks to Alison's eye for details and her ability to create a visually distinctive design. THE BLUES LOVER needed a Production Designer who could pull off a strong visual and with Alison, we got one." - Ery Nzaramba
"I have been collaborating with Alison on two shows now and I hope to be working with her again in the near future. I value enormously the level of engagement and collaboration she offered on my latest shows, both ambitious projects challenging the relationship between audiences and performers. She is reliable, perceptive, and understands quickly the vision behind the director's work. She is both inventive and realistic : she not only comes up with exciting ideas on the design front but also on the overall mechanic of the production" - Marianne Badrichani

Crew:
I am a production and costume designer with experience of set, props and costume. My background is in theatre, and much of the theatrical work I have created has crossed over into film. I have a good working knowledge of different historical periods in design and costume, and am a hands-on person with the ability to manage large projects whilst being happy to do the smaller dirtier jobs as well. I enjoy working in collaboration with others to create something ambitious and exciting.
Referees:
