About me
My name is Amy Dickson, I am a costume maker and designer based in Sheffield specialising in prop-costumes.I can produce large 3D costumes using a wide range of materials including Plastazote, metalwork, composites and 3D printed plastics to create larger than life characters. I have created various prop-costumes from frogs to an ensemble of rats.
I also have experience with animatronics, sewable LED lighting and quick-change costumes. My work has included a growing Pinocchio nose, blinking animatronic eyes and a Cinderella transformation dress.
I also use more 'traditional' techniques and can create anything from dance costumes to historically accurate pieces.
I can work from pre-drawn designs, or can work with you to design the costume you want using your ideas and inspiration.
