About me
I am currently studying at Birmingham Ormiston Academy in Technical Theatre Arts, specifically, lighting design and lighting technology (due to finish in July 2017).I have been passionate about lighting since I was a young boy, creating my own light shows, playing with par cans and programming for my mobile DJing and kids shows.
I love to work in teams, troubleshooting problems and enjoy practical challenges, but I am just as happy working as an individual with autonomy.
I have a good understanding of intelligent fixtures and as I was working with the DMX512 protocol from a very young age, I am more than comfortable working with multiple universes on a large scale setup, furthermore, industry standard equipment is not alien to me, and I can perform maintenance tasks on popular generics, such as the source 4 all the way up to the GLP impression series of moving heads.
. I have also been involved in multiple productions as a performer, so I truly understand the relationship that needs to be obtained between performers and crew and I can establish a bond with said actors which, in turn, establishes a good communication platform.

Additional information:
I, as an individual, have many pastimes and interests. These do include lighting design in my spare time and creating light shows to music.
However, other interests include, computer science, (which I received the highest award for in my high school), performing in productions/drama in general (which I received multiple awards for, including one of the most prestigious at my high school), DJing, participating in live music events and, also, perfecting comic routines and impressions as I am an aspiring comedian.
Furthermore, during my time at Walkwood Middle School, I received the highest award possible, ‘The Dave Clifford Award’ which is only given out every four years, to one pupil for going the extra mile to contribute to the school (I supplied all equipment used for live music events as well as being the host). In addition, during my time at Walkwood, I won an award in a talent show for my comedy. Lastly, I have a very good rapport with young children, as I have done many children's shows and have worked/mentored in Walkwood special needs unit, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
