My interest in the media industry in general began at college when I started studying a Btec in TV and film. I had always enjoyed watching films but this is when I began developing a passion for being apart of the production. During my two years of study at Richmond I learnt about a variety of different styles that can be used in filmmaking, my personal favourite was stop-motion animation. Whilst I was on this course I filmed a number of different things, ranging from documentaries, to music videos, a stylised game show, and a stop-motion animation. While filming these very different styles of film and TV each required different techniques to allow for them to be classified as the genres they where meant to. My highlight from the end of the degree was that my stop-motion animation 'Trapped with a Bottle' was featured in the end of year gallery as part of a visual installation.
During that following after I had graduated I joined a film crew as a sound assistant/runner for Future Imperfect Productions on their film titled 'Parallel Lines', where I had my first real chance to work on a crew of media professionals instead of my peers and it was enlightening to gain hands on experience. It was then I knew while I wanted to work in the media industry I wanted to specialise in audio, which led to me applying to study audio production at the University of Lincoln.
I have a Bachelors degree in Audio Production. Additionally, I have over eight years of experience in the, media, film and TV industry, I specialise in audio production, I have a variety of experiences ranging from mixing, to editing, to mastering music and sound FX and I believe the knowledge and skills that I have built up during this time make me the perfect candidate for the role.
It was my time at university that I produced an musician, how to manage and run a radio show, I also learnt how to dub sound over film and the importance of synchronisation became even more important. I am confident that I can bring a high level of success with me to your organisation and with my high work ethic I feel that my previous experience and expertise will be most productive, I also believe that my contribution will have an immediate and positive impact.
