    About me

I am a confident and outgoing individual who is very passionate about life and all that it has to offer! I started acting at a very young age with my local theatre and appeared in 4 professional productions. Over the years I have also appeared in over 25 community performances. I always loved being part of the theatre and from a very young age had the ambition to be part of the theatre community. I did my work experience at the New Vic Theatre and had the opportunity to work in every department from administration to the workshop. This was a wonderful experience as I fully got to appreciate all the work that goes into the running of a theatre. I was able to understand that behind the exterior magic of the theatre the audience observe there is a business which is integral to every production and every outreach program.

After leaving college I have spent most of my time working hard to save money for travel. At 19 I set of on my solo backpacking trip around South East Asia and most recently returned from a year working in New Zealand. I have also spent some time working with various charities, another passion of mine. I am now looking to go back into the theatre industry as although I have loved every experience over the past few years I am missing the sense of community.

I do have particular interest in working with young people and encouraging them to express themselves. So often young people feel like they do not have a voice but I believe they should be encouraged to express themselves in a positive and supportive environment. Having fund-raised for a human rights organisation and worked with young homeless people I have seen firsthand to the importance of giving young people the opportunities in life that they deserve.

I believe my zest for life has got me far and presented me with opportunities I wouldn't necessarily qualify for on paper, I think it is important to challenge yourself and try new things. Moving to New Zealand was a big challenge for me which ended up being one of the most rewarding and wonderful experiences. I started this New Year by doing a skydive from 15000 ft in one of the most beautiful spots in New Zealand. Not only was it a truly exhilarating experience but it also gave me the urge to throw myself into life this year and look for my next challenge.
