About me
I have been working in the live entertainment industry as a sound engineer since 2001.With a long history in technical theatre I have worked on a large variety of productions, ranging through musical theatre, plays and concerts of every flavour.
While predominantly an audio engineer and operator for theatre shows i’m a versatile technician, not afraid to get my hands dirty, and in recent years have been performing technical manager duties on many uk wide events, managing advancing, rigging, event electrics, staging, audio, and basic lighting from fit-up to de-rig.
I'm a forward thinking engineer with a positive attitude and a good ability to listen and act on comments and notes from the creative team.
I’m always looking for challenging work, and to build on my knowledge, I enjoy problem solving, and well seasoned to the schedules, personalities and irregular hours this industry presents.
Having worked alongside a broad spectrum of artists, directors and venues as a front of house and monitor engineer I have had to learn to think outside the box and get creative as an engineer and designer.
Additional skills:
I have basic lighting knowledge, I'm able to design, focus and program a small show with ETC-eos family and chamsys consoles,
Although i am no carpenter i am fairly handy with some timber and a screw gun.
I have my city and guilds 1810 and 2330 level 2, and am happy working on power projects.
Also i hold a full, clean uk driving licence and and happy bussing crew and equipment up to 3.5T
