About me
A recent English and Drama graduate with a first- class degree from Queen Mary University of London (Russell Group) looking to secure a position in administration. I have always had a deep love of the arts and would love to gain more experience in arts administration and operating in a studio/theatre environment. During my time at university I was a member of the Queen Mary Theatre Company and assisted in organising (and performing in) eight annual festivals which funded four shows to be taken to the Edinburgh Fringe- which I have participated in for the last two years. Alongside this, I often organised the end of year performances at university and more recently have founded a live art events collective with a friend which seeks to make live art more approachable while offering space for new practitioners to experiment with their work.I am creative at my very core, and since Edinburgh this passed year, I have been focussing on my writing. I enjoy writing poetry and am an avid reader and painter. I am obviously a lover of live art, as I run events to support it, but I am also interested in performance in the gallery and have taken several elective modules in Art History- which I enjoyed alot! I am looking to gain experience in administration - here defined in a broad sense to cover stage crew jobs, gallery assistant and possible casual usher positions- to gain experience in all area's of the theatre/gallery.
I am a hardworking, driven individual proficient in Microsoft 365, Excel and Publisher with a friendly and positive attitude. I take pride in my customer service skills and ability to talk to people on all levels. I would like to put my creative energies to good use and am keen to increase and develop my knowledge through new challenges and experiences. Thank you for taking the time to read this- I look forward to hearing from you!
