About me
I am a Third year student at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh studying Theatre Production specializing in Scenic Art and Set design. My experience with in theatre began as a child, acting in national youth theatre of Finland for twelve years, from this I went to set up a performing arts group with my brother and took on a position of a production manager. The group grew rapidly into twenty people and started touring around the country some of the individual artists went to perform around the world.
Since starting my degree, I have continued to develop my understanding and skills within the industry by working with professional companies. Doing a placement with the Finnish National Theatre working along side the props specialists, making prosthetic body parts and working as part of the stage team moving scenery during performance.
I also gained some experience within the Lyceum workshop; working along side Fiona for two weeks in "Man who had all the luck" this gave me a good insight on to the way Roseburn workshop is run.
I had a fantastic opportunity to work and learn beside Kate Hunter for three years to observe and develop my skills in scenic art.
